Dan K - Turquoise Love sounds like 16B - Jupiters Dream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htS0K7njetY sampled??
  • Shadowbourne
Why is brawthers name in it ? what does he have to do with this ?
  • Chinon
He compiled the tracks . . . . . .
  • Llanonte
I love this release so much. As someone just getting into house/dance music, this is a perfect entry way into a country's take on the genre. Is there any word on the movie it was suppose to be released in conjunction with?
  • Yozshubei
You folks shall move to a proper pressing plant, you lose sales and other makes on your back to say the lesser.
  • Gavirgas
Don't know what went wrong here but T.P.O. - Punk Inc. (Hiroshi's Dub) on this compilation definitely isn't the version on the original release back from 1989 ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=86&v=fk1cXAvxWlI

From the 2016 repress:"ERRATUM . 17.05.2016Jazzy Cousous and Les Disques Mystiques would like to apologise for printing the wrong credits for the song used on A1, currently as "TPO - Punk Inc. (Hiroshi's Dub").The correct title should read as: TPO - Hiroshi's Dub (Tokyo Club Mix (Loght Of Love)).It should be added that it's the remix from DJ HEYTA.This issue stems from the original record label sending a master file entitled "TPO - Punk Inc. (Hiroshi's Dub)" as per our request and providing all the credits for the label copy. Instead the song provided was the remix from HEYTA. Due to time constraints and a lack of vigilence we have gone ahead with pressing a different song to the one actually programmed. Although we love HEYTA's version and are honored to have it as part of this release, we wish we had printed the information right the first time around, hence this late erratum notice.Thank you for purchasing this compilation.Alixkun and Brawther."
  • Anyshoun
Very nice comp.Nice mix of sounds/styles.Please let there be a volume 2.
  • Whiteflame
Nothing extraordinary. Just existing title with a new package !!!! Result. Thirty euros. Good business.
  • Arcanefist
How are you gonna complain that a compilation has stuff that's out already? You know what the word compilation means right? And check the prices and availability on those links you posted and that's only a small sample of what it would cost to get the ones that are even for sale. This is probably the only way to get a lot of these on vinyl and for a decent price. Man people are ungrateful out here

What are you talking about man... This is a great retrospective of Japanese house
  • MisterQweene
This looks like a beautiful package. Just ordered it from Gramaphone records, can't wait to see it in person.
  • showtime
No no . Just beautiful macaroons with titles that exist. I can do it. Just ask permission to artists and repressing all. Thirty euros for that .Négatif
  • Rose Of Winds
Heard a few of these at Yellow back in the early 90's... hoping for ハウス Once Upon A Time In Japan... Part 2
  • one life
Anyone know on what release Dan K - Turquoise Love was originally released?
  • Garr
Turquoise Love was previously released in 1998 on 2xlp compilation called "Two Lives" - http://www.discogs.com/Various-DJ-Koutarou-A-Ritsuko-Present-Two-Lives/release/7983487
well i already have all the other good tracks on this compilation so rather than keep the 3xlp for one trcak id rather just get the original dan k release if there is one.
  • Flarik
Reach out to Brawther or Alixkun, I'm pretty sure they will help you. I for one think this it's a previously unreleased production or maybe an extremely limited Japan only release... Don't really know where you're going with the question though, trying to find the holy grail or something?
  • Thetalas
very insightful... not.
  • Fearlessdweller
Dude, do you even read the inline notes? Maybe it's an unreleased project, but as far as I could gather from the extremely wavy inline notes it was produced in 1998. Hope this helps.
  • Haralem
Worth having in the vinyl Collection.
  • Prinna
Some tracks are better than the others but it is SO good to have more knowledge about the oldschool japanese house scene ! Thanks Brawther and Alixkun. Great compilation overall.
  • Dolid
Some tracks are really good indeed but others are just not what I was expecting. I would rate it 3,5/5 so I give it a 4/5 rating.
  • great ant
