Reviews:
  • Honeirsil
Definitely one of the best buys out there. Such a quiet record, airy and distinct sounds, Rhino records has done well with their master pressings. For an incredible press, well worth the money, and will appreciate in price well.
  • Coron
Someone in the US please sell me this for a fair price
  • Andriodtargeted
Sound quality of the vinyl press is awesome. Totally worth the money. Can we please get Cracker to use this engineering team to reissue Kerosene Hat on vinyl.
  • Negal
I'd do anything for that!blah blah ten words blah blah
  • Pryl
Wow the asking price for this seems to have more than doubled overnight. Stupid RSD, don't know why it had to be so limited.
  • Manesenci
Just bought the record at one of their shows. Vinyl is an orange-pinkish splatter. Don't think it's been added to Discogs yet. Got it signed and everything!
  • Jek
Yes, they are touring right now as they did some concerts close to where I live in Southern California. There have been rumors of a second pressing and maybe there are plans to release a splatter or even a version without the 7".
  • SARAND
what?? are you saying they still play and tour? no way!
  • BlackHaze
Finally scored a copy of this puppy - without paying through the wazoo. I am thankful! I haven't heard this puppy in 15ish years but many of the tracks have been cycling in my brain ever since. Forgotten awesome track: Saint Joe on the School Bus - "Aunt Mary, Aunt Mary!" such a good song. And of course, on of my faves: 'opium' - "bluuueeeee , like water.." For some reason I always loved this album and remember playing guitar along to the tracks. Record sounds great!
  • Lanadrta
The flowers on the inside of the jacket sleeve are wonderful. Made my day even more than finally having my favorite album from the 90s on vinyl.
  • Āłł_Ÿøūrš
The LP is amazing, but the bonus 7" was cut terribly for my copy. The lead-in groove has blobs of melted vinyl on most of it so the needle can mostly only be dropped right as Hallelujah begins. There's also a scuff on that track. Despite all that, the 7" pressing still sounds fairly decent. Curious if anyone else had any issues with the bonus 7"?
  • Sagda
Mine sounds excellent, no complaints. Contact the label and see if they can issue a replacement for you.
  • Wilalmaine
Glad to know the pressing quality is good. Usually with RTI there's no problem whatsoever. The album was not available for the Record Store Day in the country where I live unfortunately but I won't pay a silly amount of money for it since it was mastered from a 1630 tape which means it is represented in 44KHz/16bits just like a regular CD so I'll be impressed if that vinyl is superior. Anyways there's apparently a normal release without the bonus 7" on its way.
  • Mikarr
That's indeed possible, yes. Back in the late '90s it was super common to record on 2" and store the final mix on DAT.
  • EXIBUZYW
One person said it was recorded on tube equipment on a 2" tape.
  • Vizil
I saw that on their Facebook page. Someone asked the label.
  • Legionstatic
Yes, I'd love to see a source on that information as well.
  • Qane
Where did you find out about a supposed normal release coming out?
  • Garr
Absolutely beautiful quality pressing. Sound is clean, artwork is nice, and the flowery inner jacket is just the best finishing touch. Do not hesitate to pick this up (for a fair price of course)
  • Mr.Champions
I went and purchased my copy in store for $24.99
  • Milleynti
What's the current price if you purchased in store vs. online?
  • sergant
Sounds fantastic. Super excited to pick this limited release up.
